How did he come into your life?
Lincoln was a rescue from a Southern California shelter and my very first dog. I walked the entire shelter and saw dozens and dozens of dogs, but not one caught my eye. I was about to leave and thought I’d give it one last go. There he was, my perfect prince. They were bringing him back from a meet & greet and normally don’t do two in a row to let the animal rest. I insisted I see him, and they took me to a pen. He zoomed around, barked his head off, and paid no attention to me. That was when I knew he was mine.
Significance of his name, if any:
He was named after Lincoln Ave on the highway. It’s where he let out his biggest bark on the ride home.
A memorable thing about your pet:
His bark. It will forever be embedded in my brain. It’s like a broken beagle howl.
Funny or unusual habit:
He’s a tail chaser!
If your pet had a job/profession, what would it be?
Professional house sitter. He’ll eat your food, watch your TV, and keep the bed warm.
If your pet could speak one sentence out loud, what would she say?
Where’s the bacon?
Anything else you’d like to share:
He. Is. Everything.
