Mom: Tammy

4 ½ years
How did he come into your life?
Originally I recued a feral cat, Bub not knowing his health. He was with me 11 weeks before his body started to fail him and we had to say good bye. Because it was a short time, I had decided I would rescue another cat in his honor and give him or her the best life I could. So with search I found Rufus at Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin. The staff brought him into the room and he instantly was on my lap snuggling. He slept on my chest for half an hour. How could I resist.
Significance of his name if any:
Being a ginger and liking the Celtic name I left his name as it was. He does fit it well.
Favorite treat:
Tiki Lick Sticks
Most memorable thing your pet has ever done.
He has been taking walks in his stroller 2-3 times daily for about 3 weeks now. On one occasion he was mad we came home too early for his liking. So he refused to get out of the stroller and took a nap in it to protest too short of a walk.
Funny or unusual habit:
Anytime I am in the kitchen he is running back and forth the top of the cabinets in the apartment. The cabinets form a U shape track.
If your pet had a job/profession, what would it be:
Definitely a supervisor of a group home. He has standards to maintain and a need to be center focus. He likes someone here at all times.
If your pet could speak one sentence out loud, what would he say?
Get my lick sticks now!
Anything else you’d like to share.
Rufus enjoys noisy toys, car rides, walks in the stroller, snuggles, and directing mom’s life. He is a ball of sunshine and energy that seems to have no end. I love him
