Our pet of the month's name is, Eloise

Family:

Kim Marshall

How old is she?

6 years old

How did she come into your life?

I went to the Humane Society to adopt a kitten and fell in love with a little furball, Eloise. Her and her sister had been through a lot together so I definitely couldn’t separate them. So of course I brought home two kittens!!

Significance of her name, if any:

Eloise is the name she had when I adopted her so I saw no reason to change it.

Favorite treat:

Eloise loves mini muffins!! She hears me open the container and comes running!!

Most memorable thing your pet has ever done:

Eloise got her head stuck in the chain link fence chasing after a bird! Scared me to death, but after a little pulling and squishing I got her out unscathed!!

Funny or unusual habit:

Eloise is obsessed with trying to bite my toenails! If I stand still for a second she will bite on them.  She also loves chewing paper and cardboard boxes.

If your pet had a job/profession, what would it be?

Exterminator!! She loves to chase bugs and play with them but is very disappointed when they stop moving.

If your pet could speak one sentence out loud, what would she say?

“I love my family!! (Although, I’m not too thrilled with my new big brother, a German Wirehaired Pointer named Zeiger. )”

Anything else you’d like to share:

She loves to be carried around on her back like a baby. Eloise and her sister are inseparable. They even lick each other’s faces after they finish eating!! I am so glad I adopted her. She is so loving and silly and makes me smile everyday!!
