How did they come into your life?
We purchased Annabelle (the cat) and her brother from a breeder in Baldwin, WI. We purchased Silly (the bird) from a pet store in Janesville, WI.
Significance of their names, if any:
Because Annabelle and her brother, Andy are ragdolls, we named them after Raggedy Ann and Andy. We took care of our good friends’ lovebird, Ty, when they went on vacation and that was before we got Silly. We called him Silly Willy, because he would do such funny things. So when we got our lovebird, we were going to name him Silly Willy, but decided just to name him Silly.
Favorite treat:
Annabelle loves Temptations (or any treats actually) and Silly loves safflower seeds.
Most memorable thing your pets have ever done:
When Annabelle and her brother were kittens, they came running into the bathroom and went to jump upon the toilet seat which wasn’t down like it normally was and they both fell into the toilet! Silly will give kisses on the nose and ring his bell when you ask him to.
Funny or unusual habit:
Our living room heating register is mounted on the wall near the floor and Annabelle loves to lay on her side and play it like a harp with her toe nails. And the funny thing is, we have a lady in our church by the name of Margaret who plays a harp, so when we’re in another room and hear the pinging of the toe nails on the register, we’ll say, “Margaret’s playing the harp!” When Silly finishes taking his shower in the kitchen sink, he’ll run over to the edge of the counter and give his daddy a kiss on the nose.
If your pets had a job/profession, what would they be?
Annabelle would be a musician and Silly would be a comedian.
If your pets could speak one sentence out loud, what would they say?
