How did he come into your life?
When our son was 10 years old, he asked for a dog for Christmas. We had never had pets and were kind of resistant to the idea because of level of responsibility pets require. I looked online for breeds that didn’t shed, etc. and my husband reminded us that there are plenty of dogs at the humane society that need homes. As a family, we went to HSSW and we found Murray. My husband picked him out … he likes to remind us of this quite often. That was four years ago and none of us can imagine life without Murray.
Significance of his name, if any:
No real significance to Murray’s name. It really was the only name all four of us could agree on.
Favorite treat:
Murray doesn’t really have a favorite treat. He will eat anything! Except for pretzels….he hates pretzels for some reason. LOL
Most memorable thing your pet has ever done:
No significant moment or memory with Murray. He is just awesome, daily!
Funny or unusual habit:
Murray is the most gentle dog ever. If you hold french fries or “long food” in your mouth, he will gently reach up and take a bite from your mouth.
If your pet had a job/profession, what would it be?
Murray LOVES to eat and would do it all day if you would let him. He would probably make an excellent housekeeper because of his constant nose to the ground looking for dropped food or crumbs or any kind.
If your pet could speak one sentence out loud, what would he say?
”Are you going to eat all of that?” or “What’s for supper?” Mostly, we’d like him to be able to tell us his story…we often wonder what his life was like before he became part of our family.
Anything else you’d like to share:
Murray has been with us for four years. He is our family’s first pet and the best dog ever! It took a long time for him to trust us and allow us to even show him affection. He has come so far and we only hope the last four years of his life have been better than the first five.
