Family:
Don and Cecilia Hladky, Bogart, Ellie and Diesel
Age:
5 years old on August 1st
How did she come into your life?
She was the last of a litter of kittens at my brother’s country home when he passed away. The mother had always been very friendly, not feral, so her kittens were the same. Just picked her up and brought her home.
Significance of her name, if any:
She was very tiny. I tried calling her Lenny, my late brothers name, but just couldn’t say it. Peanut just seemed to fit her. We also call her by her nickname, Peany Weany.
Favorite treat:
Peanut’s favorite treat is licking the gravy from the can of dog food.
Most memorable thing your pet has ever done:
My husband wasn’t exactly excited about getting a cat. The first morning she was here, I woke to find her nestled right next to Don’s head.
Funny or unusual habit:
She loves to lay on my husband’s chest in the morning before he wakes up. But she always lays with her head facing his feet and her butt right in his face.
If your pet had a job/profession, what would it be?
She would probably be working the front desk at Janesville Veterinary Clinic. Loves to interact with people and other animals.
If your pet could speak one sentence out loud, what would she say?
”I want to go outside with the dogs.”
Anything else you’d like to share:
Peanut is the best friend of our other cat Bogart. They snuggle together in the cat bed.
